Meet Your Pets: The Study Buddy That Lives On Your Screen

Studying alone is hard. So we gave you company.

activATAR Pets are collectible, animated companions that wander across your screen, celebrate your wins, and — if you slack off — sulk until you get back to work. They're the most personality we've ever packed into the platform, and every one of them is earned through studying. Here's everything they can do.

Collect 17 animals (and 255 variants)

There are 17 animals to hatch, each with 15 collectible variants. That's 255 pets to chase. You'll have to figure out what they all are!

Every pet is fully interactive with walking, flying, jumping and reacting to you picking them up (just as good as a real pet!).

Hatch them from egg capsules

Pets come out of egg capsules, unlocked with the bananas you earn from studying (80K for non-premium users, 60K for premium). Roll a capsule to hatch your first pet.

• Common → Legendary rarity.
• No wasted rolls. Land an animal you already own and you'll get one of its unopened variants instead. Once you've completed all 15 skins of an animal, it's removed from the pool so you can focus on the ones you're missing.
• Premium only pets Some special pets are gated to our premium supporters only - sorry! Even if you unlock them during a free trial or achievement you won't be able to equip them until you earn yourself that sweet premium status.

Some pets can only be earned

Not every companion comes from an egg. The rarest members of your collection are milestone rewards:

• Achievement pets — answer 1,000 questions correctly and the ??? is yours. Other legends like ???, ???, and ??? are locked behind their own banana and quiz feats.
• Streak pets — keep a 30-day study streak alive to unlock the legendary ???.

These never appear in the capsule. If you see one on someone's profile, they grinded for it.

They have personalities — and they talk

Every pet speaks its own mind. Animals map to one of 12 personality archetypes — sleepy, hyper, studious, dramatic, foodie, cool, mischievous, zen, sassy, cryptic, shy, or sentimental — and they'll pipe up with speech bubbles as you work.

• They greet you by name and know the time of day ("grinding the midnight oil?").
• They react to you: pick them up too often and they get annoyed; drop them and they'll let you know.
• Rarer pets are chattier. Legendary and epic companions unlock extra lines of flair, so a legendary pet is visibly quirkier than a common one.
• Your roaming pet can even wander over to a friend's pet on their profile and headbutt it — and the friend's pet headbutts back.

Keep them happy though!

Your pet's wellbeing depends on your study habits.

Go 12 hours without earning a single banana and your pet lapses into a neglected state. It might faint on your screen and need reviving, or get thrown in jail and need bailing out. The longer you leave it, the higher the fee! Keep studying to keep your pets free!!! Sometimes jailed pets can be freed by studying instead of paying. Log some study minutes or answer a batch of questions and your companion walks free.

Make sure not to keep away for too long. Everyone who visits your profile will see that your pet has fainted or in jail, uhh embarrasing!!!

Make them yours

Pets are yours to configure:

• Roam or dock. Let your pet wander the whole screen, or tuck it into a tidy badge in the navbar.
• Chattiness. Silent, polite, or full yapper — you decide how much it talks.
• Energy. Calm, normal, or excited changes how fast and how often it moves.
• Focus-friendly. Auto-hide your pet during quizzes, exams, notes, multiplayer, or the relax zone, so it never gets in the way when it matters.

Where they show up

Your active pet follows you everywhere you want it to:

• On your screen, roaming and reacting as you study.
• In the navbar badge, as a compact companion.
• On your profile, as a stationary showpiece other students can interact with.
• In your collection, a gallery of everything you own — and everything left to hunt.
• Visiting another profile, if another user you visit has a pet on their profile, your pets will interact and maybe have a friendly fight!
